About Ali

Three-time ENGO co-founder with successful initiatives in 14 countries, experienced in multi-million dollar program implementation. For over 15 years, Ali has helped lead teams toward nature-based climate change solutions, and has overseen environmental reporting, communications, strategy, policy, funding, business development, marketing, and education initiatives. Ali is a highly-collaborative leader who has guided hundreds of international multi-stakeholder teams across Fortune 500, government, non-profit, and grassroots community groups. Ali brings sound business acumen, strong writing and storytelling skills, research-driven strategy, calm optimism, and kind camaraderie to every project.

Climate Change Leadership

  • Fifteen years leading environmental programs for corporate, government and non-profit organizations, including for the AppleEarth environment club, the North American Association for Environmental Education, the Nunavut Impact Review Board, the Alberta Council for Environmental Education, the Ecology Action Center, Dalhousie University Faculty of Sciences, and the Dalhousie Eco-Industrial Center.

  • Five years demonstrated success in climate action, including:

    • Climate Leader and Mentor to a 10,000-person cohort of global Climate Reality Leaders trained by Al Gore;

    • Gigatonne Challenge Mentor for international teams based in Brazil and the UK, who lowered 10+ tonnes of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalents) emissions;

    • Contributor to the World Economic Forum Trillion Trees Platform;

    • Co-Founder of Four Trillion Trees; the Intelligent Play Institute; and Eco Bonds and Entrust 501(c)(3);

    • Contributor to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Resilience Frontiers.
