Ali has volunteered regularly for three years to feed rescued fledgling birds, rehabilitate injured adult birds, and to care for other wildlife, such as by splinting and casting broken limbs and treating infections. She was trained by the staff at the Santa Cruz Native Animal Rescue. To date, Ali has helped feed and treat over 6,000 native animals and birds.
